Bondi trip – sculpture by the sea

It’s been a very tiring week as I went to Sydney for 3 days… but thanks to this trip, I managed to go to the very famous ‘Sculpture by the sea‘ this year (which I went last year too😅).

Here is how it looks like~ video length: 2:07

First of all let me vent a bit on Sydney public transport💔🐽 – I stayed at Macquarie Park and it took me a good 2 hours to get to the venue. Had to take bus to city, and changed from city to Bondi junction, and then changed from there to the beach.😭 The best part is – driving is no better… my friend drove to Bondi and took him 1 hour+ on the way and another 30 mins to get a car park. I guess the only recommendation is – get to there early, i.e. probably before 9.

The sculptures are lined up all the way from Bondi beach to Tamarama beach, which is a 2KM costal walk. So make sure you wear comfortable shoes as you will need to walk on rocks and sand, plus some stairs to go. I managed to damage my throngs half way😵😰 so had to wear my Melissa shoes (which were still OK, but a less comfortable😶).

Most of the sculptures were very impressive. Surprisingly a lot of them were designed by Japanese artist🇯🇵 –  there is a small red mark on the plate for those Japanese designed works. Maybe next time they can consider add Japanese description.😆

Due to my shoes and the starve (I didn’t have dinner the night before, and no breakfast😴), I didn’t enjoy as much as I could have been on the second half of my journey💔. There was some food stands on the way but they are all cash only, and as I am not a cash person, I ended up not being able to afford any of them👋👋🍔🌭🍕🍖🥓🍟…

All in all it’s a very pleasant walk, and that’s why I went last year and this year again.😇😎 Stupidly I forgot to bring my camera, and luckily I didn’t forget to bring my phone. If you come to visit Sydney recently, I would definitely recommend this event! Let me know if there is any similar event in your city~❤️💜💛💚💙
